  5. Tony is a co-founder and technical advisor of the National Neigong Research Society (NNRS) and has been teaching Chen Taiji and Qigong classes throughout the Bay Area.

Tony will cover Silk-Reeling Exercises, which are a series of connected spiral movements used to facilitate the development of basic strengths and coordination in the practice of Taijiquan. These spiral movements will open up and exercise the 18 major joints (in sequence from the head to the ankles) of the body as well as promote muscle relaxation and flexibility by reducing physical tension and strain. In these exercises, much emphasis is placed on having ground connections and energies (Jin) flow sequentially from the legs up to the dantian (center of the body) and propagate through the limbs to manifest the proper energy path. This routine of exercises is one of the more recent developments in the Chen Taijiquan system. It is intended to help students achieve a specific goal through systematic practice whether it is for health and/or martial benefits.
